01 ── The Project
Reimagining how Europe renovates
DIGIFAB is a European research and innovation project developing a faster, more digital and sustainable approach to building renovation.
At its core is an integrated renovation process connecting building assessment, BIM and digital twins, sustainable prefabricated components, stakeholder co-creation and final installation — addressing a European building stock where renovation remains too slow, costly and disruptive.
Working within this highly technical context, my role focused on shaping how DIGIFAB would look, communicate and present its work across project partners, stakeholders and wider audiences.
02 ── My Contribution
From technical complexity to a coherent project presence
My work spans DIGIFAB’s wider communication and dissemination ecosystem — establishing its visual direction and translating that system into the practical tools needed to communicate an evolving European research project.
This includes the project’s visual identity, website, publications, event materials, audiovisual communication and reusable document systems, combining design with the structuring and presentation of technical content.

03 ── Identity & Visual System
Giving digital renovation a visual language
The DIGIFAB identity was developed to reflect the intersection of buildings, digitalisation and sustainable renovation.
The logo combines architectural geometry with circuit-inspired details, creating a direct visual relationship between the built environment and the project’s digital-first approach.
A restrained system of deep navy, green and light neutral tones — supported by bold, highly legible typography — established a flexible visual foundation that could move between technical communication, digital environments, publications and project-facing materials.

04 ── Digital Presence
Building the project's digital home from scratch
I designed and developed the DIGIFAB website from the ground up, translating the project’s technical structure and communication objectives into a dedicated digital platform.
The work extended beyond visual design into information architecture, page structure and content presentation, creating a system capable of communicating the project’s approach, technologies, partners, demonstration activities, news and public resources as the research continues to evolve.
The resulting platform connects the identity with a broader communication experience — making complex renovation concepts easier to explore while providing the consortium with a central public-facing reference point.
05 ── Publications & Dissemination
Turning project messaging into tangible communication
The visual system was extended into project publications designed to communicate DIGIFAB’s proposition beyond the website.
The brochure brings together the renovation challenge, DIGIFAB’s integrated approach and key expected impacts within a compact communication format — balancing technical information, visual hierarchy and clear stakeholder-facing messaging.
06 ── Events & Physical Communication
Designed to communicate at a glance
DIGIFAB’s communication system was also translated into event-facing materials, where information needed to remain recognisable, legible and understandable from a distance.
The roll-up condenses the project’s core proposition into a vertical format built around its renovation challenge, digital solution, expected impacts, technological approach and European demonstration context.

Event and consortium photographs shown here are sourced from publicly available DIGIFAB and project-partner posts.
07 ── Motion & Audiovisual
Bringing the project story into motion
Audiovisual communication extended the DIGIFAB system beyond static materials, providing another format through which the project’s technologies, ambitions and renovation approach could be communicated to broader audiences.
The video translates technical project information into a more immediate visual narrative while maintaining continuity with DIGIFAB’s wider communication language.
08 ── Beyond the Visible Outputs
A communication system built for everyday project use
The visible outputs represent only part of my work on DIGIFAB. Alongside public-facing communication, I developed the reusable systems needed to support consistent communication across the consortium — including complete PowerPoint presentation templates, Word templates for reports and project documents, and supporting visual resources.
These tools extended the identity into the project’s day-to-day working environment, helping maintain consistency not only in external dissemination, but also across recurring project and partner communication.
The wider scope extends across presentation systems, report and document templates, consortium-facing materials, recurring communication assets and partner resources.

09 ── Outcome
One identity across every project touchpoint
DIGIFAB demonstrates how communication can become part of the infrastructure of a European research project rather than a collection of isolated outputs.
From establishing the visual identity and building the project’s digital presence to publications, event materials, audiovisual communication and reusable consortium templates, my work created a coherent system through which DIGIFAB could communicate its evolving research across formats and audiences.
