01 ── The Project
Making smart-building readiness accessible
D-SMART supports the adoption of the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), providing a digital environment for assessing and understanding the technological readiness of buildings.
The platform brings together tools and information around SRI assessment, building digitalisation, energy performance and emerging European requirements — serving technical professionals, public authorities and building-sector stakeholders.
02 ── Identity & Visual System
Giving the platform a recognisable regional identity
I developed the D-SMART logo and supporting visual identity, combining the project’s digital focus with a clear connection to Lombardy and its built environment.
The identity was expanded into a practical visual system covering colour, typography, logo variations and a recurring graphic pattern — creating a consistent foundation for both digital and institutional communication.
03 ── Digital Platform
From project concept to digital experience
I designed and developed the D-SMART website from the ground up, defining its information architecture, visual interface and overall user experience.
The website structures a technically complex subject around the project challenge, SRI services and software, regional database, expected impacts, project information and supporting resources — creating a clear entry point for both specialist and wider audiences.

04 ── Project Communication System
Extending the identity into everyday project use
Beyond the public-facing platform, I translated the D-SMART identity into reusable communication and documentation systems for the project team.
PowerPoint presentation templates and structured Word deliverable templates established consistent typography, layouts, branding and institutional acknowledgement across recurring project outputs — allowing the identity to function beyond individual designed materials.

05 ── Outcome
One identity across digital and project communication
D-SMART was developed as a connected visual and digital system rather than a collection of isolated outputs — from the project’s identity and online platform to the templates supporting its ongoing communication and documentation.
